A Fireman's Prayer

Whenever flames may rage
Give me the strength to save some life
Whatever be its age
Help me embrace a little child
Before it is too late
Or save an older person
From the horror of that fate
Enable me to be alert
And hear the weakest shout
And quickly and efficiently
To put the fire out
I want to fill my calling and
To give the best in me
To guard my every neighbor and
Protect his property
And if according to my fate
I am to lose my life
Please bless with your protecting hand
My children and my wife...

A Message To Our Community Supporters
This Fundraising office is the combined effort of the five seperate area firefighter associations listed below. Callers are contacting residents by phone and asking them to purchase tickets for a benefit concert in an effort to raise money for local programs.  Rest assured that your support is made directly payable to your local fire fighters association and will only be used in your area.
Nationally, there are millions of fires, thousands of deaths and injuries, and billions of dollar loss - which makes the U.S. fire problem one of great national importance. Between 1999 and 2008, there was an average of 1,634,150 fires resulting in an estimated $11,634,800,000 in direct dollar loss each year. An average of 3,625 Americans lost their lives and another 18,765 were injured annually as the result of fire. These averages do not reflect the events of September 11, 2001.
With the help of local citizens and businesses maybe we can change these statistics.
